ARTICLES OF FAITH
We have compiled a brief and clear statement of our faith in the form of articles. These articles are not designed to be the undation or the defense of our faith—our faith is founded in the inspired Word. Instead of being the foundation, these doctrinal articles simply define and declare what we believe the Word of God teaches.
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments; it is without error as originally written, and the final authority for our faith and practice. To maintain consistency in teaching and public worship we use the King James Version of the Bible in the preaching and teaching ministry of this church.
We believe that the one true God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are equal in essence, yet distinct in personality.
We believe in the Deity of Christ; His Virgin Birth; His shed blood for Atonement for the sins of man and His bodily resurrection and His ascension to Heaven.
ARTICLE 4—HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, and makes believers children of God through the new birth, assuring them of Heaven, and by His indwelling power enables Christians to live a godly life
We believe that God created man in His own image; that man disobeyed God an became a sinner. The resulting effect of sin on man touches his entire being, leaving him completely unable to earn God's favor or contribute to his own salvation.
We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone and that believers are eternally secure in Him.
ARTICLE 7—LOCAL CHURCH
We believe in the local church as God's autonomous institution of regenerate, immersed believers practicing the two ordinances; Baptism and the Lord's Supper and has two Scriptural offices—pastor and deacon.
ARTICLE 8—RETURNE OF CHRIST
We believe in the personal pre-millennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, and His millennial reign on the earth.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost.
We believe in the spreading of the Gospel as Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."
